OMGS: The Truth behind the Coloured Twist Ties on a Loaf of Bread

KingsmillDM0603_450x285

You can tell which day a loaf of bread was delivered/baked by the colour of it’s plastic twist tag.

For instance, if the tag was blue, then you’d know that the bread was delivered on Monday. But if the tie was white for example, you’d know that the bread was delivered the previous Friday. Therefore picking blue over white is probably a good idea.

Monday

Blue

Tuesday

Green

Thursday

Red

Friday

White

Saturday

Yellow (Gold)

PS. Certain companies have their own system and apparently the reason for this is so that the employees at supermarkets know which loaves of bread to reduce/remove from the shelf first.
