This is a concept piece from the French designer Arnaud Lapierre and brings a new concept into the idea of home security. We all know the conventional way of opening a door, you turn the handle/knob and then push/pull to open your conventional door. However what if for privacy and security’s sake we decide to remove the handle altogether. Then what are you left with? Well a rather rudimentary yet ingenious way of security your door. If only someone were to create this handle into a marketable product, I’d be down to my local IKEA in a flash. Check the photos out after the jump.
The Doorknob Condition uses an innovated pulley system that makes the knob on the exterior recess inwards when pulled from the inside. Without a knob to use, there’s no way to get it.
